  1. I enrolled in the ground school on 01/11/17 and took the exam yesterday (01/31/17). PASS! I can unequivocally state that I would NOT have passed the exam without taking this ground school, even with self-study. The test was extensive and all of the questions were seen by me in some form or another in all of the practice tests the course contains. If you're not familiar with the aviation field (like me) it's a whole new animal; complete with its own language, sayings and symbols.   2. I received a quote from Lockheed Martin for their Indago 2 UAV (http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/procerus/indago-uas.html) with a 40x zoom payload. A tidy sum of $85K. Not unlike throwing a Corvette out of an airplane. Needless to say it was a tad out of our budget. Sweet unit though.
  3. Greetings All, An email from Alan suggested I come here and introduce myself so here goes. My name is Tom and I'm in northern Illinois. Long story, but I'm taking the ground school and seeking a Remote Pilot Certificate with an sUAS rating for and through my workplace; a medium-sized municipal police department. I will be one of several officers who will (eventually) be responsible for our sUAS operations. Our primary uses will be search and rescue, crime scene documentation, traffic crash investigation/reconstruction, and inspection of community infrastructure. Your ground school is real
