  5. @dbark I use a class 10 64 GB SDHC in my phantom 3 standard with no issues.
  6. Hey @Doug Baker Sorry for being late to the party i have been out of town. There is a Gimbal trim (or in this case i believe it will be labeled roll) in the settings in the upper right hand corner of the app if you go through the gimbal menu you should see an option to control the roll of the camera. You will want to make sure the drone is on a level surface and that you have a level line the camera can see as well (either draw a line with a level or use a laser), than adjust until the camera looks level with that level line.
  7. Very interesting concept, also very scary must look into the fine print on this to see all the details but is definitely intriguing.
  8. Welcome, @Cecil, ooo the hubsan is a great little drone to learn on! You've come to a great place, you'll find lots of helpful information in the forums on 3D photgrammetry, orthomosaics, and volumetric mapping!
  9. Hey @William, I am a secondary level educator in the sciences and i also develop curricula, we have a great new course at our school and were able to get a great deal from a 3DR liquidator that had some bundles for IRIS+ kits that may serve your purpose not sure how much you have raised to invest in this but i was able to get ten drones, extra batteries, chargers, remotes, and other things for $4000. here is the site : https://northox.myshopify.com/ if you reach out to them you can tell him that Scott from Keefe Tech gave you his information. It is first come first serve and they also offer a variety of bundles. And amazon is also a great choice and most schools should have a procurement account on amazon now so the ordering should be easy. Blue Skies and Safe Flying,
  10. Just got an email from them about the camera and thought you all might enjoy this and possibly find it useful!
  11. As usual very on top of things thanks @olesailor
  12. Hey @Juggernaught maybe try this in the DIY section as well to see if they know.
  13. Welcome @Ray Woodbury Great to have you here! Blue Skies and Safe Flying,
  14. Very true in my experience there is nothing potential, it always causes and issue, so ensure you fully close down DJI GO. Hopefully there API will play nicely someday but until then this can be an issue.
  15. Welcome @Alex Mwaura, Great to have you here! Let us know what tips you pick up along the way and what questions you run into!
  16. Welcome @dbark and welcome @Juggernaught Great to have you here! Should be able to find some friends in your locale! AS to DJI they are a great product, customer support leaves a little to be wanted but the phantom series and the inspire series are very common in the professional marketplace. Let us know when you run into questions and i am sure the community will be able to help. Blue Skies and Safe Flying,
  17. Welcome @Jenifer So great to have you here as part of the community! I have actually been wondering how the insurance industry would be adapting to the drone ecosystem and it sounds like you will be chuck full of knowledge! Let us know if you have questions ok! Blue Skies and Safe Flying,
  18. HI @Mowgli, Very exciting, while i second @Bruno's opinion on wanting to be safe that should by no means stop you from flying and learning on your quad. Just make sure you are practicing deliberately, working on specific skills, and avoiding the drive to fly to high or fast until you really understand what you are doing! If you are interested in augmenting your practice with a cheaper durable drone i always suggest looking at a Hubsan X4 as these run around $50 and are very crash resistant. As always when you have questions feel free to ask the community.
  19. Yeah that was very silly of me to say in my head i was thinking of the compressed H2 i have in my lab and not mylar filled balloons with lower than air density.. silly chemist.
  20. Welcome @Bert, Great to have you here!
  21. Nice job, totally didn't think of that, yes a set of ND filters and a polarizer are a must for great footage on very bright days. Also making sure that you have set the camera shutter speed to at least double your fps (for the playback) for better results. flying slower will also help great job!
  22. Hey @Orangutan39 Nice first try at editing, some suggestions is to cut during the action, dont cut and have a second of still and then into some movement, try cutting right into the part of the movement. Also try to create a variety of cshort, medium and long shots, as this will create a more dynamic video. Keep them coming!
  23. Hey Great to have you here @mfsinger i have had lots of experience with DJI and they have a good product i am going to see if anyone out there who uses the typhoon would be able to chime in on how those are. Very Jealous of all that land to practice on! At the end of the day it will come down to how you feel about the particular drone.
  24. Welcome @JAFTH, it will depend completely on which part or country of Europe you are operating in. Most Countries do have some sort of system in place, you will want to look into the regulations in your country.
  25. Hey @Pete Williams, What kind of services do you already do?
