    FAA Airspace Authorization Request Timing

Good to know. Is there any downside of just submitting numerous applications for different airspace authorizations? Pretty much, every paid gig I get in Southern California will require an authorization since there are so many airports.
  2. Not to long ago I received my first airspace authorization after about 2 months. When I applied I submitted to applications, one for airspace authorization in Class D Airspace with 90 days out, as I had a flexible client.. And another for a job that I would lose unless I could get the authorization within 30 days. The one I submitted for 30 days was denied based on the timeframe. The one I submitted for 90 days was approve. I'm curious the way you guys are approaching requesting authorizations that you need before the 90 days. Can I assume that any request with a start date within 90 days will be denied? I have shoots that I need to get done asap, but I'm worried If I fill out the application with a start date sooner than 90 days it will get denied. Has anyone been approved for authorizations with start dates sooner than 90 days out? If so, how did you determine your start date? Any advice on submitting applications for authorizations for projects that are flexible on exact dates but generally time sensitive (the sooner scheduled the better) would be great.

    Aerial Downtown LA

These are great shots. May I ask where you took off from to get some of downtown shots?
  4. Hello UAV Coach Forum, I've been reading the forums for a while now and have benefited greatly from the information. Received my 1st airspace authorization a couple weeks to operate in Class D Airspace near Santa Monica Airport and have been ramping up my real estate work. Looking to learn more about 3d mapping and different drone applications for architecture, real estate and construction industries. I currently work full time for a real estate agency doing all their videos - (Would love any feedback) Big thanks to Alan and everyone at UAV coach for cultivating such a helpful community. Cheers! Nice I love flying my bird in that area! I like your framing here, not too much sky. Looks great!
  6. This was my first bigger building I've shot for an architecture clien. I mainly do real estate but I had a lot of fun shooting video and photos. I'll post the video when it's done but I was curious to see what kind of feedback I can get from this group on the photos.

    heli pad contacting

What if the flight is for commercial purposes? Is not in controlled airspace, but is close to a helicopter pad.
