  1. Hello all! In the past month, I created 7 unique videos, 6 were unpaid, and each one with a whack ton of drone shots!

If interested in checking out all 7 videos, 24 pictures, plus 23 tips, here is the full link post. Thank you!

Well if the reader is someone who wants to know more about drones(like me?), It won't even matter how long it is as long as it has some useful information. I would say your post was short but still a lot of useful tips and you even added links for someone who wants to dig deeper on that certain topic.

What else do you think I can talk about? Anything specific you are curious of? I can add any tips or topics to the post if you like. DJI Guide is planning to use the post so if there's stuff that can help drone flyers I'm up for it!

  3. Hello fellow flyers!

I just finished a light-hearted guide when it comes to travelling with your drone. I split the tips into phases such as preparation, pre-flight and flight just to organize the content a bit better. Feel free to input your own advice so those who are looking to travel may be more equipped with the potential challenges. Any feedback would be good too! As a disclaimer, this is my entry to the Epic Aerial Guides contest. I hope you like it!

  4. Hello fellow dronists!

I made a short guide full of tips when travelling with your drone. I organized the tips into stages such as preparation, pre-flight and flight just make content a bit more digestable. Feel free to give your own advice to help those who are looking to travel in the future. Any suggestions would be good too! As a disclaimer, this is my entry to the Epic Aerial Guides contest. I hope you enjoy it!

That was quite entertaining!  I love the idea of living in a stilt house on the sea.  I really enjoyed the speed at which this piece moved.  Great music selection, well-timed, and good job using a diverse set of transitions.  If I could offer any creative input, it would be to maybe use fewer transitions overall, saving those gems for just the right time.  Nothing wrong with straight cuts B|

    Aloha!

Thanks! I think my last transition with the rolling film thing was too much haha

  6. Hey fellow flyers,

Each time my drone took off, I’ve come to enjoy exploring El Nido a whole lot more! So, I am sharing with you some of my aerial footage. Personally, I still prefer Coron (also in Palawan, Philippines) due to a lot more fish variety when snorkelling, a few Japanese shipwrecks and some remote islands. Of course, the footage here doesn’t do the place justice so feel free to visit and explore!

Raincast, did you experiment any issue while flyng on this locations is only water, the DJI dron have a tendency when they are below to 10 mts start to use the VPS system. Over water the acoustic and vision sensor is not able to hold position.

I read a lot some people disabled the VPS system to avoid this issue.

You launch and landing in your hand or over the boats... regards

I tried to find the best setting for fly over water but the best is more than 6 mts is i go below start to losing position ...

I had no issues flying over water. I did not turn my VPS off.

When I went lower than 6 meters, the drone was over the part where the tide was low. Maybe VPS identified the sand as land so it did not give me problems.

The drone has a narrow fov so it may seem like we are closer to the water.

I launch from the boat. I used a floating device which doubles as a wider landing gear so I can land even on a slightly angled surface from the boat.

Here is the floating device at 0:14 seconds of the video.

Thank you for giving it a watch!

Hello! Here’s Manjuyod Sandbar, one of our honeymoon spots early February. It can be reached by boat from Bais City (Negros) but we came from my hometown, Cebu. Negros is now the best way as new permits are needed for boat operators to work in the area. This was way more work than I expected because of the time ramps.

    Please enjoy the short video!

  9. Merry Christmas to everyone! Here's our Christmas Eve celebration filled with food, gifts, Bingo, karaoke and family! It's 1:58 minutes long (or short) and I just wanted to share it with you.

I submitted this video to the "Share your country’s Christmas spirit with your DJI device" contest. A like and/or comment there would be very appreciated there! Here's the link:

After having used the Mavic for 9 months, I made a quick video of gear/accessories that I carry (and believe are important) when out filming. A bunch of these should be on sale for a week or two!

If you’re free, also check out my cinematic drone tutorials for beginners (71 basic moves, multiple POIs, wedding, etc). Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I gotta say, I'm impressed!  I too was expecting a 'meh' kind of video, but it wasn't that at all.  If I could offer any single piece of advice (not that you need it), it would be to practice your roll-step.  I can see your hip-wiggle in the hand-held shots where you're walking.  Try bending your knees a little, engage your core, and control your breathing.

    Thanks for sharing this!

I agree! There are some shots that I hoped I could honestly retake, but there's no time for that at a wedding I guess. It was painful seeing my footage sway even though I was moving my drone as slow as possible.

I was totally expecting a crap video, who shoots a wedding with a drone!?

I was pleaseantly surprised, it was a very well done video.  Nice job.  However, I'm sure you've heard the expression, "right tool for the job."  This video proves it can be done but a drone is not the right tool.

looked like a great wedding.  Congratulations to your friends and for producing such a nice video for them.

Hey, sorry I never got a notification of replies to this thread! Yep a drone was not really ideal for the job! I'm still waiting for an Osmo 2 haha

    Thank you for watching!
