  1. Hi, new member here. I want to purchase a Spark, but my Nokia 6.1 is not on the recommended devices list. However, it is an AndroidOne phone so there is no bloatware or phone vendor customization of the OS. It also has a powerful processor. Spec: OS - Android 9.0 (Pie); Android One Chipset - Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 CPU - Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 GPU - Adreno 508 RAM - 3GB Is anyone else successfully using a Spark with a similar AndroidOne phone with 3GB RAM?
  2. I'm very new to this, but I live 1.5 miles from a small airfield in SoCal, and hold an FAA ATP. In my opinion the proposed CA legislation is benign. It seems to do two good things: 1) Prohibits any local entity from prohibiting drone use - so no 'cant fly here' stupidity from city councils. 2) Permits law enforcement to enforce the requirements for licensing and registration - which is the only way it will ever be enforced.
  3. Hi, I flew CH47 Chinook with the RAF for many years and retired from that nearly 20 years ago. I have an FAA ATP license for helicopters. After spending that time doing something else (but playing a lot of flight sims for pleasure) I'm very interested in getting into drone flying, to include looking at part-time business opportunities. I plan to do the pilot and ground exam course and pick up something like an Inspire or similar. Its kind of annoying to need another cert from the FAA when I have an ATP, but I guess it wont be hard.
