I am fairly new to the drone world and have just recently adopted an EBEE classic drone. I would like to upgrade this drone using the Emlid reach M+ and a third party camera. This upgrade leads me to the following questions: (1) Does anyone have experience with the Emlid reach M+? (2) Any recommendations on cameras (best bang for my buck)?

Best way to integrate Sony QX1 with 3DR Solo
Up Sonder posted a topic in Filmmaking / Cinematography
I am relaying this question for a contact of mine. Hope some of you can help me to answer it. Currently I am utilizing a couple of 3DR Solo drones with the GoPro 4 camera and various lenses. I want to upgrade to a better camera and recently purchased a Sony QX1 which has been used by a number of drone companies. I am looking for the best solution to integrate this camera into the 3DR Solo. I purchased a Copterlab gimbal that is supposed to do just that. It is called the “2 Axis Agrowing's Multispectral modified Sony QX1 RX100 Alpha 5000 Alpha 6000 Gimbal for 3DR Solo”. The problem is that -
Good Morning - I am hoping someone can provide some suggestions: Background: I work for a school division and our Maintenance department is in need of a drone to use when they need to identify problems at our schools. The thought is that the drone could help to save time and money and provide a safer way to complete certain tasks (i.e., getting pictures on top of water towers, roof top issues, etc.) Our Idea is to involve our students in a hands-on STEM activity - by finding either a Middle or High School STEM group that would build and test the drone. Hello everyone! I am undergoing a new build using the Tarot 680 Pro frame as my base....however I ordered the Tarot Iron Man 680 kit instead of the 680 Pro kit. Does anyone know if I can just swap the center boards/integrated PCB board from the 680 Pro kit with the stock Iron Man 680 kit? That way I don't have to buy a second kit. Secondly, has anyone had experience using a Canon S110 or S120? I'm planning on using this as my imaging sensor. Finally, does anyone know where to find inexpensive gimbals or gimbal kits that will support the size of an S110/120 or any other digital camera for

I've been looking for a modular camera platform that can be integrated with a custom built UAV for some time and it looks like the folks at Mapir.camera may have come up the solution. https://www.mapir.camera/pages/kernel-cameras Not available just yet but coming soon. Also no pricing but being modular I guess you could start out with a basic system and build up.

I recently came across a small company that is in the process of developing an open architecture camera platform for the maker community and although its not specifically designed for UAVs could be an interesting platform to experiment with. http://www.sub2r.com/

Hello everyone, new to the forum and I must say extremely informative. I just purchased a Q500 plus as my first large Quad and I must say that I am very impressed. I was very fortunate to have flown some of my buddies birds, DJI, Chroma, 3Dr and I like my Q500+ Question on the camera, I am getting "ok" quality on the video it seems choppy and not with the really nice quality. I ordered a 10+SD card for the system as I was using some other micro SD's. have any of you experience this? -Also, are there any setting anywhere relative to the camera itself? Thanks, Elcid
