Want to test the drone using and zigbee module communciating in raspberry pi, Whenever there will be shortage of power it will check the range and calculate the distance between remote and itself and comeback in time so that it will not power off and while this method is working other methods will get stop for that time, I am new to code this kind of solutions, so any suggestions to make this kind of work useful will be very helpful.
  2. Hello I have been flying a phantom 4 pro for my surveying company for about 2 years. I want to start flying a fixed wing drone now. Has anyone here built there own and can give me some advice? I am just now starting to dig into all the components that I will need and it is a bit overwhelming.
  3. Hello fellow dronists! I made a short guide full of tips when travelling with your drone. I organized the tips into stages such as preparation, pre-flight and flight just make content a bit more digestable. Feel free to give your own advice to help those who are looking to travel in the future. Any suggestions would be good too! As a disclaimer, this is my entry to the Epic Aerial Guides contest. I hope you enjoy it!LINK HERE
  4. Hello to everyone! We are Erle Robotics, a young startup that makes robotic brains and robots. Today we want to show you our most popular drone, the Erle-Copter! What is the Erle-Copter? A Linux-based smart drone with support for the Robot Operating System. Erle-Copter is a quadcopter for developers that uses the Erle-Brain 3 hardware autopilot and the APM flight stack. In a nutshell, it’s a Linux flying robot kit whose behavior can be extended in the same way you’ll code something in your Desktop Linux machine. It’s ideal f
  5. I have a client looking for drone photography in the Hamptons on August 4th. It's a high profile event so they are looking for an expert pilot. The event is called Paddle for Pink, a breast cancer awareness event. They are in need of action shots of the event as well as yachts and confetti at the finish line. 6. At the moment drones could fly only several minutes, but imagine if you get hours and hours of flight time, imagine if you get 5 kg of payload, this will be useful for thousands of purposes, from delivering humanitarian aid to package delivery. Finally, we can get it. First hybrid system for drones was designed at NASA and it's really similar to what we are doing here (you can see the NASA system here: Basically, it's an alternator connected to a gas motor, it is very similar to the system that is improved in your car to keep the lights on, the difference is that it's thous
  7. We finally have our hybrid UAV, the HY1000 Wheelbase: 1000mm No payload weight: 4.5kg (no fuel) Max take-off Weight: 10 kg Max speed: 10m/s Max flight time: Over 4 hours Voltage: 22V Generator output: 1 kw Generator weight: 1.6 kg Fuel tank: 1L (Customizable) Fuel consumption: 800g/H(Max) An internal combustion engine consumes gasoline and spins a generator to ensure a 22V output. Besides this, a 6S lipo battery package is also installed onboard to offer emergency back-up power for quick climbing and quick maneuvering. With 1kg payload, the flight time is more than 3 hours, and
  8. I'm about to enter the work force, but I would like to do freelance drone work for my community in addition to my daily career. What tips do you have for getting your name out there, attracting employers or branding yourself as a responsible drone operator? Thanks!
  9. If you can't laugh when things go terribly wrong, you may have a bad attitude. Best is to change the attitude. Anyway, I wish I woulda. Famous last words. I wish I would have practiced with the simulator before I crashed the drone from the treetop. A word to the wise. This video is an attempt at humor and a successful attempt at a comeback. https://youtu.be/oMGqkQ-oksg Stan
  10. OK, so I have my Part 107 certificate and I have the Drone Pilot Ground School certificate, I must be finished with UAV Coach, right? Not so fast. I just finished the last of the BONUS interviews that are provided as part of the Drone Pilot Ground School. The information there is really incredible! There is a goldmine of knowledge and information in those interviews. So, for anyone who is taking this course or has completed the course and obtained their Part 107 certification, I think it is very important that you finish the course and listen to each one of the interviews. I've liste
  11. Greetings Pilots, My name is Captain Moore and I am part 107 drone pilot (via uavcoach.com). I wrote an article on my blog about the benefits of being a drone pilot. You can find it here: https://flightlogblog.com/2018/02/17/the-five-benefits-of-being-a-drone-pilot/ I would love your output, especially if I am missing something! Safe Flying,
  12. Not sure if this is the place to make a request, but I am looking for drone cinematography for a WEB TV series in development. Likely filming will begin in late august, 2018. Location is the Pacific Northwest (U.S.), so responders should live in the general area -- we just don't have the budget to fly folks in from any distances. This is a unique and fun project with some great aerial sequence challenges. The ability to fly full-size cameras is not necessary. Details to interested pilots. Thanks.
  13. Good Afternoon Everyone, I recently launch a digital marketing agency that focuses solely on the golfing industry. One of the services I offer is hole-by-hole guided tours. I'm looking for an individual/team that lives in South Florida (Atlantic side of the state) to do contract work as part of my team. I posted this job on droners.io and was overwhelmed with the responses from all over the country. I unfortunately was not specific about the location of the individual/team, so I'm hoping to make that clear here, I just want Florida based licensed UAV/Drone operators. I really appre
  14. Hello, I stayed at this inexpensive beachfront spot in the Philippines, close to some beaches/sandbars, marine life, and falls. I’ve never really “featured” a location so let any feedback to make my video better would be great! There are drone shots and Gopro clips on this one. Thanks for watching!
  15. Hey fellow flyers, Each time my drone took off, I’ve come to enjoy exploring El Nido a whole lot more! So, I am sharing with you some of my aerial footage. Personally, I still prefer Coron (also in Palawan, Philippines) due to a lot more fish variety when snorkelling, a few Japanese shipwrecks and some remote islands. Of course, the footage here doesn’t do the place justice so feel free to visit and explore! https://youtu.be/jYhQiXaGKRU

  18. Hey Everybody, I first launched my business in August in New Orleans and came out pretty strong. I did some work for a local newspaper and for a production company in LA. But since December I have not had a service gig. Louisiana's winters are very short so I can't chalk it up to weather. Recently I have been running Facebook ads but I have not received anything traction yet. I have done the whole reach out through email marketing that has yielded me nothing in months. So I just want to ask the community, what strategies or tactics do you all use to attract clients? Any advice would
  19. Hello! Here’s Manjuyod Sandbar, one of our honeymoon spots early February. It can be reached by boat from Bais City (Negros) but we came from my hometown, Cebu. Negros is now the best way as new permits are needed for boat operators to work in the area. This was way more work than I expected because of the time ramps. Please enjoy the short video!
