I have just finished one of my vibration dampeners. It is very effective and not exactly easy to build. It is based on the Secraft design but with several differences. It can support 2 kg and it weighs 36 grams. I used 1.2 mm thick polycarbonate sheet, 1.2 mm thick 6061 T6 aluminium alloy sheet, 16 x 10 x 3 silicone O rings (55 duro) and PVC studs which I fabricated using the lathe.
I am going to use two of these to completely isolate from vibrations the platform of my next V6 hexacopter, They are are still present, even if in minor quantity, after all the motors and propellers have been carefully balanced. In this manner the gimbal / video camera unit will be double isolated and the FC will not resent from vibrations.
