There would be a boatload of FAA waivers that would be needed in order to cover an election site and election times from early morning to evening hours. VLOS, altitude, flying at dawn and dusk and evening flights, flying over people, potential conflict with helicopters overhead. Just about all of the regulat

  4. DroneLogbook is launching a 1st responder logbook that will be tailored to the needs of public safety officers (vs commercial). The new site is www.safetydrone.org so if you are (or know any) a first responder feel free to try it out (it is free through August) and give us feedback for changes. After August we are looking at $50 per year for an operator but are also looking to better understand budgets etc.. Thanks.
  5. My name is Mike Russell and I am the owner/president of UAS Fire Consulting LLC in central New Jersey. UAS Fire Consulting LLC originated from the results of my doctoral research on the perception of UAS use in fire departments in New Jersey. The primary function of the business is to assist organizations and agencies in the fire services and other public organizations with drone acquisition, training and policy development. I started my business a year ago with just me. It hasn't been easy but I've made it through the first year. I'm still a small operation but am making headway.
