  1. Hello UAV Coach Community! I hope everyone is having a good summer given the circumstances. I've been wanting to start a thread dedicated to helping folks out with sales and marketing for awhile now but could not seem to find the time. @Alan Perlman it's fantastic to see the community continue to grow and thrive! I've had the pleasure of meeting quite a few folks from this group over the phone and I must say you're all a great bunch! I thought I would kick things off here by inviting anyone interested in real estate drone sales & marketing to our webinar next week. We have a very special
  2. Hey guys, here are a couple of videos about the Mavic Mini that might be interesting to you. Enjoy!
  3. Looking forward to being part of the forum and discussions. We're located on the Big Island of Hawaii and photograph homes, construction sites, advertising, you name it. www.madisonimages.com
  4. Good afternoon Alan Perlman & Company! Spring is officially here and with it comes blue skies, green grass and hopefully a lot of drone orders!! For RTV, this Spring also means some very significant system updates that we are super stoked to deliver and share back here in the group. Most notably is our new 1080 Adaptive Streaming. This update means some great things for UAV pilots as well as folks that do full-on walkthrough videos. Those interested in our full feature update and release video can review the entire update here in this Update Video Be sure to check out examples
  5. Hi everyone! I am an architecture graduate currently working in Construction management. I passed the written exam for my FAA Remote Pilot License and am really dedicated to breaking into the drone industry as a career. My goal is to become a photographer/videographer with my Mavic 2 Pro. I'm naturally interested in providing services for architecture firms or construction companies given my education and occupation background but, I am very interested in getting into Real Estate and Inspections also. I've done research to find the proper training and programs needed for mapping/3D modelings
  6. I am especially interested in Drone / Real Estate related opportunities and uses.
  7. This is a question and not an answer. Also, it is not a challenge to real estate drone photographers, but rather a possible opportunity to illustrate the ways in which they are useful that most people would miss. I'm just curious about what added value a home buyer or real estate buyer would get out of drone media taken of their potential property? What should they be looking for in drone media that they could not see in any other way? For example, what does the neighbor's yard look like? Roofing flaws? Proximity to railroad tracks and busy roads? Proximity to industrial parks?
  8. Hello there! I recently bought a DJI Mavic Air after I absolutely fell in love with flying several "toy" drones. They were so much fun and I saw just how much potential they held in terms of content creation (video, photography). I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Air Fly More Combo and absolutely love it! Unfortunately, I now realize that, to get the most out of its 4k capabilites, I now need a better PC (the wife disagrees). The laptop and older "Home office" PC just don't cut it when it comes to 4k video editing. At the moment, it is purely for fun and to improve my skill
  9. I apologize, as I am sure this topic has been covered many times before. After my searches in the blog, I haven't really found a good answer. So I am starting this topic in hopes to get some great articles that are very informative but not "hire me because I'm certified" approach. I currently have a Real Estate Broker that is using a non-licensed pilot for their aerial photography. I just want to begin educating this potential customer of the risks and possible penalties of hiring a non-licensed pilot. I understand the risk and possible penalties...just don't know how to get the word out
  10. very excited about learning to fly, Hoping to venture into a career change as I get older and hopefully wiser. I have flown a mavic pro and a Inspir 1 under the supervision of a 107 pilot. I loved it! looking for others who I can learn from and just enjoy the ride (from the ground of course). I am taking the 107 test Friday the 17th of Aug.2018....I feel very confident because I invested in a course from Remotepilot101.com, I have also taken multiple practice test and have performed very well, so here goes!!!
  11. This was one of the first very opulent home we were able to film. Have to say I really enjoy doing real estate work more than I thought. You can make some decent money if you get a couple of shoots a week. Heights Aerial Media offers 24-hour turn around time on New Jersey aerial photography. Realtors were very satisfied with our work. Let me know what you guys think.
  12. Aloha gang! I'm back with another outside-the-box video project & happy to share it. This is a property listing video, using an on-camera interview approach to tell the story. I won't belabor the description with words, just let the video do the talking. Enjoy!
  13. Hi All, Been compiling some recent footage and thought I'd share. Appreciate any thoughts, input, etc. Of course, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube as I hope to continue to post more videos in the future. Thanks for checking it out! Cheers, Adam
  14. Those of you getting suited up to sell and market to real estate agents, home builders or developers should take some time and review some hard-hitting stats that you can include in your marketing materials. For BlueLaVaMedia pieces we simply google "Professional Real Estate Photography Statistics" Keep in mind that professional still photos are at the very core of selling to realtors. Realtors MUST have still photos to list and sell properties. So...you have something that they must have in order to even put the listing on the MLS (multiple listing service). To get started I recommend tha
  15. Aloha fellow pilots, Today I'm sharing a cinematic property video that's all about the bells & whistles. This is an oceanfront luxury home on Maui, with so much style and class, it was difficult to choose what stayed in the video and what didn't. Enjoy & Mahalo for viewing!
  16. New to the drone community. Located in Longwood, Florida in Metro Orlando Area. Would like to network and communicate with others in area or wherever!
  17. Every time I shoot in Kihei & Wailea, I imagine myself living there. It's good I don't really have millions, because I'd be broke already! This property is no exception to the habit.
  18. Occasionally, a client requests exterior-only aerial video work. These can be fun and sometimes challenging, especially when the property is tightly covered in foliage, not very large, and located along the 2nd windiest bay on the planet. Even the calm days are breezy here!
  19. Great to see all the interest in what is certain to become a vital business. Aerial photography is important to Real Estate. I am the owner of Ocean Discounts. This is a full featured UAS and we offer inexpensive drone opportunities for anyone interested. For Realtors, the final cost is passed to the seller and collected at closing. There are no out of pocket expenses for the agent. Every flight is continent upon a site evaluation and weather conditions. See our website for more information: www.ocean-discounts.com
  20. Hello fellow flyers! Just sharing a short video of our home, all shot by drone. Thanks for watching!
  21. Aloha pilots! Thought I'd share a video from back in the early part of the year, which features 3 homes on a single lot inside of 1 minute. It was a fun challenge, and the video moves quickly, but it worked out in the end. Enjoy, and Mahalo for viewing!
  22. I don't do many property videos. I recently agreed to shoot one for a neighbor. I think its a fascinating business and would be really challenging to do it well, profitably. I'm not sure I could accomplish that. I'm posting these for several reasons, I'm proud of the work we do, I'm interested in what others think, and probably most importantly I'd like to start a thread where people don't simply criticize but share their experiences so that as a community we can figure out better, more economical ways to produce this sort of video. There more to this challenge than just the drone, ph
  23. Hi Alan, Rob Buchanan here, I just wanted to say hello to you and all the other members out there and introduce myself! I must say Alan you have done a Fantastic job of putting all of this information together (website & forum) for us R/C flyers out there to use & enjoy! MANY Thanks to you! :-) I have been involved in the IT & video business for 15+ years. Been flying a few different multi-rotor drones (Syma, UDI, HubSan) since last year and recently got a Phantom 3 Pro back a few months ago. I just recently started mentioning my drone services to real estate investors &am
  24. i am close to starting my business. But the one thing i have not figured out is pricing. What are people charging for real estate filming or photography I'm also interested in doing aerial inspections. .Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Frank OneDRONE LLC
