  1. Hello UAV community, For the past 4 years, I have been working as a drone operator and aerial cinematographer around the United States. I recently moved to Puerto Rico to pursue a documentary project and have decided to start a different kind of drone business with a local colleague. I am looking for advice on the most popular drone models that are currently used for damage/structural inspections, 3D mapping, and surveying (I understand that this is probably 3 separate drones). I could repurpose my Mavic Pro and Inspire 2 for this venture, but I imagine there are systems that are better s
  2. Can anyone advise me about the problem with vertical GPS values on DJI units? The horizontal values seem to be just fine. We have an Inspire 1 and an Phantom 4 Pro. We have been using them, along with DroneDeploy and Pix4D, to map wetland vegetation for wetland restoration projects in Florida. The problem arose when we started combining imagery with survey to create and deliver 3D models to our engineering colleagues. Both UAVs report accurate altitude to the RC, but the EXIF tags tell an entirely different story: A photo taken at ground level (let's say, 65' above sea level),
  3. Dear UAV Coach community, In Geoscan we develop multidimensional spatial data visualization system – Sputnik GIS. It is a great tool for viewing and analyzing wide range of UAV survey results. Here is areas of applications of Sputnik GIS: mining, urban planning, road construction and maintenance, oil and gas, emergency management, condition survey and more. We are glad to present you a new version of Sputnik 1.3. In this version, we improved TLS rendering algorithm and released new features. Please check out the list of improvements and innovations below. 1. TLS rend
