Hello, I have been getting extremely into drones over the past few years. I have become a pretty decent pilot and I feel that I am ready for an upgrade. I bought an Open-Source Cheerson CX-20 to "build" to understand more about how UAVs work (not just how to fly them). I've went ahead and done some normal upgrades like a gimbal, landing gear, and props but now I need some help. I would like to get a bigger battery to be able to support the added weight but I have no idea what to get? I am also looking to put telemetry into the drone and not quite sure what all I need. Here's a interesting good one for the team. I have a bid for a contract that part of the requirement of the contract is that the company provide a on call drone for emergency services that is CFR Part 107 compliant (55 lbs max) but that has a continuous flight time of up to 2 hours without landing or recharging batteries. Need some help from the crew out there. They also want the drone to have IR and Night Vision capability. It is a government bid and they say they will obtain all the required waivers. Dear all, Our group does battery research, specifically fast charging batteries and accurate state estimation, i.e, state of charge, time remaining etc. Drones are an interesting application, along with other EVs and consumer electronics like cell phones etc. We need suggestions for a drone that: Allows a flexible sized battery pack - This is our most crucial requirement.
