Caught between a rock and a hard place. Am beginning the editing process for my first video with music. I have some of the video footage from my Mavic Pro, have the idea for the story, and know what music I would like to use. BUT I cannot find a source for the music that does not cost and arm and a leg. The song is Neil Diamond's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," and I prefer instrumental but could use the version sung by him. I am planning to share the finished product with the forum and put it on YouTube. I have searched Greenlight Music who said the fees begin at $25K, could not find it on BMI or ASCAP, or on resources suggested by Christian: http://freeplaymusic.com/ http://www.premiumbeat.com/ https://vimeo.com/musicstore http://www.eliasmusiclibrary.com/ http://freemusicarchive.org/curator/Video/ Should I forget using this particular music and go to something more generic on one of the above sources, or does anyone have a suggestion how I might get the use of the music I want? Thanks at least $25K worth.
