  1. Hey everyone just wanted to say hello. I am new to the industry and I passed my part 107 a little over a week ago. I am waiting for my temp certificate currently. I own a Phantom Pro 4 V2 and a Mavic Air. I live in the Dallas area and I am looking to do aerial imagery full time. I have taken professional photos on the ground lol for about 7 years now and I am looking forward to this up and coming industry. Has anyone had any issues with the Altitude program for autonomous missions? I read that it has lead to some people having crashes.... is litchi better? Hopefully the FAA will hurry up with my temp certification. Has anyone flown for insurance companies after natural disasters? I tried to upload some photos but it looks like they are to big. Currently working on a website... it’s accessible but per the message I have up it’s coming soon :) www.differentperspectivemedia.com I look forward to learning from everyone on here! -David
  2. I generally shoot video everywhere I go. I spent a day and a half at AUVSI and shot this while walking around between the meetings. Its simply some video vignettes edited to music to give someone who has never attended this show what it might be like. There's a lot of drone's...
  3. Hello everyone! This company was created as a way to combine my passion with my background as an independent Cat Adjuster. Over 11 years I have inspected millions of dollars worth of claims around the country for many of the leading providers in the US. I take great pride in the skills I have mastered and the quality rigs I have hand built through the years. We are finally in a position in life where we can really devote the time and attention to detail required to provide business to business professional UAV services. We have all of the necessary licensure, certifications, exemptions and flight time required to be a major asset to the industry. We are available for every service imaginable, except weddings. We don't do that. Just no. We are looking forward to being able to bring our passion, abilities, and services to the skies with all of you. Our website is active, as well as a work in progress/under construction. We are also new to the social media scene, so any tips for getting the most out of those platforms is very much appreciated! Thank you for letting us have a space here to introduce ourselves! I hope to be able to contribute as well as the veterans here! See you around! Thanks again! www.strongaerial.com twitter: @Strong_Aerial facebook.com/strongaerial 513-443-6627 | 513-4-GEOMAP info@strongaerial.com
  4. Hello, everyone, I have caught the drone bug and can't wait to learn more about this exciting industry! I look forward to learning from those who have come before me.
  5. I'm Douglas from Arlington, TX. And just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. I'm a pro photographer, 6yrs. Although I have been a photographer for over 20yrs. I specializie in portraiture, but I do have an infinity for landscapes and even architecture as that is where I began my photographic journey. My full time day gig is in medical, which sees me traveling quite a bit. I picked up my first UAS at the beginning of the year, Syma X5. Graduated to the Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K, used that for a week and knew it wasn't for me. Upgraded to the Phantom 3 Pro. And now I fly the Inspire 1, which I absolutely love. Certainly looking to network, so if you live in DFW metroplex and want to fly sometime, I'm game. Best, Doug
  6. Anyone interested in a week end quad copter build party in Arlington/Dallas, Texas area? We can organize it to go from Friday evening to Sunday evening. We can decide on which part list to use as soon as we get some interest. I am interested in building a quad copter I can seek fund on indiegogo to build it. We can work in teams and or as individuals during the build party. One other thought is to do a global weekend build party where we would coordinate the build party via video conferencing.
