    Drone Delivery

I am looking into launching my UAV delivery company in other countries as a means of generating income and collecting data for the FAA. One country that we are particularly interested in is UAE but I am struggling to find which document outlines their laws for commercial drone activity. We are open to all other country suggestions as well. I know Australia has been a popular testing ground. Thanks!
  2. Hey everybody. I have an idea that I'm just trying to get some feedback on and consult the experts here on UAV applications. Im in the cleaning and restoration business and a common challenge we face all the time is applying powdered zinc to the ridge lines on roofs for moss control. Most of the time, its not a big deal to get a guy up on the roof with a ladder and get it done but there is a significant number of houses were the pitch/steepness of the roof makes it a huge safety hazard to send our guys up to apply it manually. My question to you all is whether it would be possible to accomplish this with a drone. Beyond that, does anyone know of a container that could hold a payload of zinc powder and be triggered to be opened remotely for distribution once the drone is over the ridge line of the roof? Thanks in advance for your input.
  3. Hello! I am an aerodynamicist working on UAV research, hoping to learn about drone-based delivery and tethered/slung load applications. I am looking forward to talking to UAV pilots and developers to get insights on these. Please comment here if you have ideas, suggestions, experience to share! Thanks!
  4. Hello, I am into wind tunnel tests and aerodynamics research on drones, and I need to know about experience flying drones carrying and delivering packages. Any insights on safety issues, challenges, limitations etc. would be great! Thanks!
  5. Hi all, I have recently started a new job with a company that is producing the next generation of drones. Without giving too much away, our drones will significantly increase the flight time, distance and payload capabilities that that restrict existing drones. Our drones will also be able to withstand greater environmental conditions i.e. higher wind and heavier rainfall. As with existing drones, our next generation drone can be used in a multitude of markets from sports, film & entertainment recording, commercial, search & rescue, Inspection, emergency response, Oil & Gas, renewable energy, delivery companies etc. I would like to hear from anyone that has came across operations that have been restricted by current drone limitations or who may have an application that our technological advances would be advantageous. Regards Chris
  6. Hey everyone! I started with filming VR using drones and decided I need more drones in my life. My new company, Drones Dash, is developing patent pending tools and techniques for automated drone services. Through this I've gotten to use a whole lineup of developer drones and other heavy payload drones. We program drones and manufacture payloads. Dronesdash.com I race (crash) with a Walkera Runner 250. Still learning FPV and acro but having a great time. I was filming with a 3dr Solo but just switched to the Phantom 4. Still trying to figure out how I can attach my VR rig. I'm looking to get more involved with the drone community so please contact me!
  7. Check out this article. I wonder how far behind we are in this arena? LOL! http://futurism.com/japanese-company-launches-drone-delivery-service-golf-course/
