Hi, I'm new to drones, have a friend who is a pilot who started a drone business and asked if I was interested? Being that I am travelling consultant most workdays, I said if I don't have to travel Mon-Thrs 50 weeks, count me in! LOL. Got my 107 done via self study now just learning to fly my Mavic Pro and having fun with it. As the title suggest I am located in the Dallas-Forth Worth, TX (ie DFW) area. Would be interested in meeting others local to north Texas.
Hi all, I'm a Flight Instructor and Aerospace/Aviation Technology Teacher in the Dallas TX area. We are putting together a sUAS career track at our High School. We are a Career Technology Education (CTE) High School with many career pathways and Aerospace is mine. This program is very new.... 9th & 10th grade so far and I'm starting to put together the direction of the program. I can see from all the different threads on the forum there are more ways to take this than I'd originally imagined and still growing. One of the first things I'd like to do is start a FPV racing team, I've read about a few schools here in Texas that race drones. Other things would be aerial photography/videography, news, film-making and 3D mapping & engineering. Thanks for being here, I think you'll be seeing a lot of questions from me. Bill
I'm Douglas from Arlington, TX. And just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. I'm a pro photographer, 6yrs. Although I have been a photographer for over 20yrs. I specializie in portraiture, but I do have an infinity for landscapes and even architecture as that is where I began my photographic journey. My full time day gig is in medical, which sees me traveling quite a bit. I picked up my first UAS at the beginning of the year, Syma X5. Graduated to the Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K, used that for a week and knew it wasn't for me. Upgraded to the Phantom 3 Pro. And now I fly the Inspire 1, which I absolutely love. Certainly looking to network, so if you live in DFW metroplex and want to fly sometime, I'm game. Best, Doug
