    pixhawk models

Hi, I am building a cellular controlled drone with raspberry pi and I am wondering what is the best flight controller to use. I found some pixhawk versions, whats the best one for a regular user with a simple cellular controller?
  5. So, I am building a hexacopter and I have picked my parts, but not yet ordered them. I am pretty sure this is a good configuration, but I would appreciate any thoughts and/or ideas to improve or tweak it. It is meant to be able to handle medium weight camera and sensor equipment. It will also be used in subzero conditions. It should be able to go long distance with video feed, but I have not made up my mind on what to use for that yet. It should also be able to fly to GPS coordinates automatically. Parts: - S550 hexacopter frame - 2830 1000kv outrunners - Turnigy plush-32 30A w/BEC speed controllers - 10x4.5 propellers - PX4 pixhawk 2.4.8 32bit, ardupilot (gps, osd, 500mw telemetry) - 5000mah 4S 60C battery (might use 2) Total weight with everything listed above & wiring is ca 3000g. It is absolutely not ment to be a racer of any kind. I value stability and flight time. I do plan on 3D printing custom parts and to make protective and aerodynamic casings/covers.
  6. Hello UAV community, For the past 4 years, I have been working as a drone operator and aerial cinematographer around the United States. I recently moved to Puerto Rico to pursue a documentary project and have decided to start a different kind of drone business with a local colleague. I am looking for advice on the most popular drone models that are currently used for damage/structural inspections, 3D mapping, and surveying (I understand that this is probably 3 separate drones). I could repurpose my Mavic Pro and Inspire 2 for this venture, but I imagine there are systems that are better suited for this work. While I have extensive experience flying for film and documentary clients, this is a totally green area for me. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  7. 👉 If you have a business drone for delivery, security, ambulance using Ardupilot/PX4 firmware, it is necessary to play live video from drone footage for your clients/partners from your application. And XBStation offers the ability to do that. 👉 If you have a drone live event, by using XBStation, allows you streaming live video to social networkings like Facebook, Youtube 👉 Your clients/partner can lay video in many playforms: Web browser, IOS device, Android Device, Desktop Application, ... How it works XBStation generates an RTMP stream for the drone video and uses the cellular network transmit to Ground Control Station to archive low latency video Then, station transmit the RTMP stream to Media Server like Wowza From there, your clients can access live or on-demand video output from any device, browser, location, any platform Support Playback Player: Flash HTTP (20s latency) Flash RTMP (5-7s latency) HLS (IOS/Mac/OSX/Android) (15-20s) MPEG-DASH (20-25s) Silver Light 👉Video below we stream video to my website demo with RTMP Adobe Flash Player For more infor, visit: https://xb-uav.com or contact us creator@xb-uav.com

  9. New hybrid drones are being designed here at the https://sandwichaero.com/ laboratories, smaller and cheaper than our actual 2000W hybrid drone. next model is going to use 15" propellers and a 1000W generator, a configuration which will provide 5 hours of flight time with a light payload (up to 500g) and more than 2 hours with a medium payload (up to 2kg). You can buy our 2000W hybrid drone from here: https://sandwichaero.com/products/hy1000-hybrid-uav to follow this project subscribe to our newsletter: SandwichDrones (we will post only about very important announcements, no spam).
  10. Hi UAV coach community, I wanted firstly to personally extend my thanks to the administrators of the forum who have said it's okay for me to post here but please do speak up if you feel this is not appropriate here and I will move on. I am writing from https://dronecloud.io/ a new drone management platform focussed on the business of running a drone operation. Dronecloud is the direct product of 6 years of commercial drone operations. It is funded, designed and managed by drone operators. We are currently looking to spread the word and get as many people trialing the platform as possible and we would welcome any of you to come along and give us a go. Please find our official press release attached and our introductory video below. Your feedback (good or bad) is also very welcome. Thanks Dave 190618 Dronecloud Platform Launch_FINAL_A1.pdf
  11. Hello guys! I have a problem and I hope you could help me. Didn't know where to go to ask a question so I turned on you. I have Wizard220x bought it from a firend worked perfectly. It was very dirty so I took it all apart, cleand it and assemble it all together. First test right after was great esc beeped and motrs were spining. Took it to the field and there I incounterd the problem. When I pluged the battery esc did just the first set of beeps and then they started beeping like crazy. Motor were spining randomly and uncontrollably. Couldn't even bind to my controler. It was realy dangeruos and it happend a fiew times after that. Do you have any idea what could couse this problem. Thank you in advanced. P.S Sorry for my bad English.
  12. It thought this would be of interest. Not sure how the 500 foot below cloud level rule applies, though. My guess is that the drone is well below the 500 foot limit. So that's probably not a problem. Anyway, you can't get this picture from a stepladder. It takes a drone. 15. Hi everyone! I'm a videographer who specializes mainly in real estate videography. One of the problems I run into is sharing videos with clients and getting paid in a timely manner. It's a hassle emailing Youtube links to share videos with clients, sending Dropbox folders for them to download the video files and using Paypal to invoice clients, only to have to manually remind them if they are slow to pay. This led my brother and I to develop a platform, through our company Airilo, that allows videographers to automatically share videos with clients after they upload them and allows clients to download the videos only after they have paid for them. With this software, we aim to provide a complete solution for client interaction, video delivery and billing, allowing videographers to focus on what they do best: providing stunning videos. We just finished developing the software and are now looking for beta testers. In this round of beta testing, our beta testers will work with us to identify any bugs in the software as well as provide feedback on which features we will need to add to make Airilo Connect ready for market. If anyone would like to be a beta tester please fill out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XG2XSG5 More information can be found on our website at: airilo.com/connect. I'd love to hear if anyone else has had a similar problem.
  16. Hi everyone! The time is finally here!! We just opened up our beta program for Airilo Connect. The next step is that you finally get to start using it. We are going to open this first test up to 20 videographers. If you have interest, please respond IMMEDIATELY because we are offering spots on a first come, first serve basis. Just respond to this post with anything that shows interest like "YES" or "I'm in!!" and fill out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XG2XSG5 We can't wait to start working with all of you. Even if you end up not making the first 20 spots, we're opening more up quickly so don't worry. Cheers, Matt

  18. DJI Mavic Pro for sale. Includes Extended Flight Combo, The Original DJI Carrying Bag plus a $129 Lowe Pro Viewpoint Bag ($129) that is brand new. Over $1430 of gear Total. Asking $1300 Total. I got it to film stuff for my blog but just ended up hiring photographers as I tend to be in the videos and it's a bit hard to be both in front of + behind the camera at the same time. I've flown this thing like two times. I have barely used it. It's in great condition and perfect for someone who wants a great machine at a discount. Would like to do an in-person dropoff/pickup, but flexible depending on the buyer. I will upload photos later tonight. Happy to answer any questions you might have.
  19. Hi.. I have to show live video streaming in iOS app, but I am unable to show it, Can you please give me any solution.
  20. At Airilo, we believe in the power of collaboration. We developed a network of drone pilots that stretches across the country in order to offer exceptional videos to real estate agents and vacation rental owners. This network allows us to efficiently deliver our products, but it also provides inspiration for new and better ways of doing business. Especially in real estate videography, we saw sharing videos with clients and getting paid in a timely manner as a common pain point. I can attest to the hassle of emailing Youtube links to share videos with clients, sending Dropbox folders to download the video files and using Paypal to invoice clients only to have to manually remind them if they are slow to pay. I yearned for a platform that would allow me to automatically share videos with clients after I uploaded them and allow clients to download the videos only after they had paid for them. This sentiment was echoed by many other drone pilots. Thus, the idea for Airilo Connect was born. We are currently working on a platform that brings together scheduling, video review, file transfer, and billing so that drone operators don’t have to waste time piecing together multiple programs. In the end, we aim to provide a complete solution for client interaction, product delivery and billing, allowing drone operators to focus on what they do best: providing stunning videos. In the next several months, we will be opening up the beta program for Airilo Connect. The first phase will allow drone pilots to upload their videos and share an online version with their clients and enable clients to download the video after a payment has been made. Even in this basic form, we hope to save drone operators time by automating the sharing and file transfer process and get them paid faster by requiring payment before download. As the beta program progresses, we will add scheduling features, photography and virtual tour sharing capabilities and an automated project management system. Throughout this process we would love feedback on what features you are most intrigued by as well as what features you think should be added. We are excited for this beta program to be the beginning of a conversation about what tools we can provide to best serve all of you. We will initially be inviting people to test Airilo Connect based on when they sign up for the beta program. If you would like to sign up for the beta program click here. We will keep you updated on our progress and will notify you when you have been chosen to be a product tester. I look forward to working with all of you because good things come from working together. Sincerely, Matt Rafferty
  21. Alan You sent out a email about the company Drone Base. I was excited about not having to go out and find customers. I logged in as a pilot on Drone Base and started looking into how this business model works. Drone Base gives lots of information about how they work, one grade that caught my attention was "potential to get paid". Long story short all of the jobs shown on the map are generated by MLS data (Homes for sale), I could not find one paying client job marked on the U.S. Map. I'm personally not going to waste my time taking and uploading stock footage to a website without a client for 2 reasons. 1. I'm "potentially" (90% sure) not getting paid. 2. As a commercial drone business and not having a signed release/contract for the job these MLS generated job locations present issues. The owner of the property is rightfully going to know why a drone is circling his property. Also in my neck of the woods (Los Angeles) someone will at some point call the police and their going to want to see some sort of documentation on the job. So although I love the idea of Drone Base until they get some actual cleints I see "potential" trouble for us.
  22. Hey Pilots! I had to do some airspace research for an upcoming and I found this great resource for drone airspace that is administered directly from the FAA. Here is the link: https://faa.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=9c2e4406710048e19806ebf6a06754ad What I like about it is that it tells you: 1. Airspace Class 2. The Ceiling 3. Associated Airport (in case you need to call in) 4. And if it is LAANC ready or not ready I hope this helps pilots in the field and those that are studying for their Part 107 test. Let me know your thoughts below. Best,
  23. Hi all, just trying to pick your brains a little bit. What do you think is the average number of flight hours at which you would consider someone an experienced drone pilot? How many flight hours would make someone an expert? @Alan Perlman Since you deal with so many pilots, would love to get what you think too!
