We finally have our hybrid UAV, the HY1000 Wheelbase: 1000mm No payload weight: 4.5kg (no fuel) Max take-off Weight: 10 kg Max speed: 10m/s Max flight time: Over 4 hours Voltage: 22V Generator output: 1 kw Generator weight: 1.6 kg Fuel tank: 1L (Customizable) Fuel consumption: 800g/H(Max) An internal combustion engine consumes gasoline and spins a generator to ensure a 22V output. Besides this, a 6S lipo battery package is also installed onboard to offer emergency back-up power for quick climbing and quick maneuvering. With 1kg payload, the flight time is more than 3 hours, and
A couple of questions; what type of generator do you all use for field work? I am still trying to decide if I should go with a gas powered like the EU2000i or the goal zero 400 with a couple of panels. I currently own only 4 TB48s for my M100 and will need to purchase two more at least so I can get near an hour of flight time total. Will the goal zero 400 provide enough capacity for 6 batteries, Surface Pro 4, Ipad, and controller? Especially on a 700+ acre job? I like the idea of being green and not worrying about the sound and maintenance of another gas engine. Anyone have e
You just acquired the Alpha Unmanned Systems Power Board (PB) to make your piston engine UAV more reliable thanks to the back up battery while reducing or eliminating the battery care task. But now, which brushless generator should you choose for your UAV? Wich are the right RPMs to achieve the voltage I need? If you made yourself this questions continue reading this article. First of all, we have good news for you, all electric engines can act as motors or as generators, this means that if you apply electric energy to the engine it will give you work, but if you apply work
