    Cheerson CX-20 Build

Hello, I have been getting extremely into drones over the past few years. I have become a pretty decent pilot and I feel that I am ready for an upgrade. I bought an Open-Source Cheerson CX-20 to "build" to understand more about how UAVs work (not just how to fly them). I've went ahead and done some normal upgrades like a gimbal, landing gear, and props but now I need some help. I would like to get a bigger battery to be able to support the added weight but I have no idea what to get? I am also looking to put telemetry into the drone and not quite sure what all I need. I would really appreciate any advice or input! Thank you, Robert
  2. Hey guys. I'm selling a DJI Zenmuse XT2 dual-sensor thermal imaging gimbal camera. It is the 19mm, 640x512 resolution and 9 Hertz version.Comes with the following:-DJI XT2 camera (19mm, 640x512 resolution and 9 Hertz rate)-32gb micro sd (x2)-Original DJI Water-proof storage case-Original box-Documentation+manualThe camera was bought in September 2018 to build up my company's arsenal of imagery equipment. It's in mint condition and has only been mounted once to see what it looks like on a drone. It has been purchased for plans to expand towards thermal-imaging services. I cannot afford to keep it around since I do not have contracts coming in for it to be utilized. It isn't exactly cheap but it is the latest and greatest camera with a gimbal made for proven turn-key solutions to for industrial drone-imagery services. It's a great system if you want to save weight for an all-in-one camera. As many of you may know, DJI products include a one-year manufacturer's warranty upon activation. The product has not yet been activated so warranty coverage begins when you activate it. With the winter season approaching, I am very motivated to have this sold since I do not fly as often in cold/inclement weather. I'm very inclined to have this sold since I already have an older XT-series camera. The camera costs about $13,500. I'm asking $10,050 shipped. Price is negotiable. Shoot me offers!Shipping within the US is included in the price. The camera is at 9hZ so it is ITAR-compliant for international shipping. However, shipping costs would be at the buyer's expense (customs fee included). You're able to message me for my email for more info. Thanks guys

  6. Hello, I am new to the drone world and would love to build my own for some aerial photography. I have experience with flying as I own a smaller quad but I am looking for something bigger and a little project for the winter. I am trying to figure out how I could (if at all possible) have a single transmitter for the quadcopter and the gimbal. I am leaning towards buying an S500 kit or F450 kit and I'm not sure which yet. Any guidance is much appreciated! Thank you! Robert
  7. I am relaying this question for a contact of mine. Hope some of you can help me to answer it. Currently I am utilizing a couple of 3DR Solo drones with the GoPro 4 camera and various lenses. I want to upgrade to a better camera and recently purchased a Sony QX1 which has been used by a number of drone companies. I am looking for the best solution to integrate this camera into the 3DR Solo. I purchased a Copterlab gimbal that is supposed to do just that. It is called the “2 Axis Agrowing's Multispectral modified Sony QX1 RX100 Alpha 5000 Alpha 6000 Gimbal for 3DR Solo”. The problem is that I am having difficulty with exactly how to connect it all together – wiring and all. Instructions were not very clear. Do you have any experience with this combination, or can you recommend a different gimbal to integrate the Solo with the Sony QX1?

    Gimbal / Camera Control

Hi All - I'm working with a DJI Phantom 4. I would really like the ability to smoothly change the camera angle from pointing straight down to either perfectly level, i.e., 90 degrees or to the most upward position, 30 degrees - and reverse. There is certainly a control button on the RC, but I sometimes find it difficult to add this motion to all the other actions I'm working on. Further, I'd like to be able to use the user-defined buttons on the bottom of the RC to accomplish this. Moving the camera in this way can provide some really interesting footage. Christian form the Video Production class refers to these shots as "reveal" shots. I'd be grateful for anyone's input. Thanks in advance.

    Tarot 680 Build

Hello everyone! I am undergoing a new build using the Tarot 680 Pro frame as my base....however I ordered the Tarot Iron Man 680 kit instead of the 680 Pro kit. Does anyone know if I can just swap the center boards/integrated PCB board from the 680 Pro kit with the stock Iron Man 680 kit? That way I don't have to buy a second kit. Secondly, has anyone had experience using a Canon S110 or S120? I'm planning on using this as my imaging sensor. Finally, does anyone know where to find inexpensive gimbals or gimbal kits that will support the size of an S110/120 or any other digital camera for that matter? I greatly appreciate the help in advance!! -Cody
  10. SOUND ON!. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNU_WaCSV8A My latest video taken with my older hexacopter (the FC on the newest had a tantrum...!!! on that day. It is fixed now). The gimbal worked very well, even if at 60-70 metres from the ground the apparently very light wind became something else..... the views are beautiful and the wines produced by the owner, a very good friend of mine, are excellent. Enjoy! I used as a sound track one of my compositions : "Pink grapes"( from my CD "Impressions", Portugal, 1998). It seems to fit as a glove, for some reason. Cheers from Bruno
