Hi all,I'm planning to do some offshore flying from the Big Island in 2020 and I'm looking for some local knowledge so I can better plan my trip.1. Are there times of the year that I should avoid flying because of weather/wind? 2. I've read some threads about taking off/landing from boats, what is the feasibility of doing this off of the Big Island (I've got a Mavic 2 Pro)?3. Any other useful tips for flying around the Big Island? I know the national parks and such are off limits, but I'm curious as to the difficulty of gaining approval to fly in airport airspace. Thanks for the help!

Hi folks! Will be traveling to Kauai in April 2018 and plan to bring my DJI Mavic Air. This would be Part 107 flying. I wanted to crowdsource my research a bit, as so far I'm finding a lot of out-of-date info on various websites and want to do as much due diligence as possible before the trip. So here's where I'm at so far. The Class D airspace is pretty easy to spot. And I read that I'm not allowed to fly in Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge. Just wanted to do a gut check and make sure I wasn't missing anything. Also, any good places you'd recommend to fly? Can't wait to explore

Aloha gang! I'm back with another outside-the-box video project & happy to share it. This is a property listing video, using an on-camera interview approach to tell the story. I won't belabor the description with words, just let the video do the talking. Enjoy!

Aloha peeps! Occasionally I get to shoot luxury resort condos, which are being sold and could be either rented out short term (vacation rental) or serve as a residence at the resort. I've often entertained the idea of living in a resort. Sure, the tourists will constantly ask you for directions and 'what do we do on vacation' questions, but the bonus is that your neighbors turn over often, there's a cleaning service in-house, and you don't ever mow again...ever. Oh, and of course all the groovy island resort stuff that comes with it...restaurant, pools, courtyards, beach access, etc.
