I've jumping into the quadcopter realm with a tiny intro. i know nothing about flying (except how to endure 11 -1 3 hours squished into economy.) last night i unpacked the beast & powered it up... then couldn't figure out out to turn it off. the "manual" is not written for a complete newbie. after spending some time deciphering the pamphlet, i am now ready to try again. The guide on this site looks like it will fill in all the gaps in my learning curve!
Recently got a Hubsan X4 107C+ as a gift but am horrible at figuring it out. Managed to hook up the transmitter with the quad in mode 2. Attempted to calibrate - throttle stick down and left, elevator stick left-right repeatedly till the lights blinked in a circle and stopped. But every time I try to launch straight up from flat ground, the quad never goes straight up. Instead it rises a few inches then starts moving in one direction and I'm not even sure how to counter the drifting because the drift shifts a little. Then obviously it crashes into something and end of flight. Few questions: 1. What am I doing wrong? Once I start the propellers, all four spin. I push the throttle up very slowly, the display shows maybe a change from 50 to 55 and then the quad rises slightly before going out of control. 2. Can't figure out how to get into the Settings menu. According to the online manual, throttle stick down all the way, elevator stick hold for 1 second. All that does is switch between normal and expert mode (which happens when I short press the elevator stick). Was trying to see if I could adjust the stick sensitivity but can't do so without accessing the settings menu. 3. I read in the manual about calibrating the sticks. The instructions aren't the most detailed but u followed as best as I could but for the life of me, I can't get the number to 50 no matter how I press the trim buttons. Would appreciate any help I can get on this!
