Greetings from Austin TX! I am new to this forum, but not new to drones. I have been flying for over 5 years and licensed FAA Part 107 Pilot. I am always LEARNING from others (both the good and the bad). I have had my share of crashes including an Inspire 2 (very costly). I have currently own and operate 5 drones, the Inspire 2 (yes replaced the crashed one), Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4, Mavic Pro, and the Mavic Air. I enjoy doing real estate work, roof inspections, and any outside events. For those that might not realize it, I have had great success using even the Mavic Air in roof inspections where overhanging tree branches prevent larger drones getting the needed images. I hope to learn a lot from each of you and if I can be a help to you, just let me know.
I have the Phantom 4 .. also the Sequoia cam, also investing in the thermals, high resolution cameras for use in survey mapping, search and recovery .. for both research and coursework / training (GIS / RMS, Pix4D, etc) . I am torn with the inspires as I dont think we can easily switch the cameras/ sensors on the Inspire2? Was leaning towards the Inspire1? I am also obtaining a couple of the Phantom4Pros in addition to the Inspires. We will primarily use units to generate orthos and surface models for remote sensing, watershed modeling ... Any suggestions?
Hey everyone! Is anyone excited for November 15? Word on the street the inspire 2 is dropping! I'm still rocking my phantom 3 (I say still like it's ancient). But I can't wait to step it up a notch. I hear people are having issues with their mavic, however I hope things don't slip through the cracks for this release. Any thoughts on the release or their mavic? -Wash
