  1. Hi! I'm Cheri. I've been flying drones for about 5 years and have had my 107 certification since 2016 (can't believe I'm due to take my 3rd knowledge test this autumn!) I've been flying commercially since before the 107 was mandatory, and I mostly cover sporting events, festivals/outdoor events, real estate and some artsy shoots along the Illinois River. I also teach STEM Camp to kids from 4th-10th grade. I recently joined my local chamber of commerce and am working on becoming certified as a Woman/Minority Owned Business, so I expect my business to (hopefully) double in the next year or two.
  2. Very excited to join this drone Community. My first drone was a phantom 1. Graduated to a phantom 4 a couple years ago but have now moved more into FPV and building quads. On top of being a drone nerd, I am a car nerd. I have a Nissan 370z and when I’m not ripping a battery or building a drone I’m probably working on the Z or doing something with my car. I'm currently studying to get my Part 107 license and I'm from Boston, MA as the title suggests and would love to find other pilots in the area to fly with.Anyways, hyped to be here. Here’s a link to one of my FPV videos and some pics of my al
  3. Hello, I am an older guy, just getting into Drones as a hobby. I am three times retired except still work as a Dive Boat Captain. I do have some experience in aviation as I was a pilot/ instructor/ instrument instructor/ examiner in both fixed-wing and helicopters, single and multi-engine, for over 50 years. Last employed as a Department of the Army Civilian Flight Instructor-Aircraft for 39 years. I built and flew R/C models for about 10 years as a hobby, but sort of drifted away when my son became interested in other things. Now I'm trying to fly a drone and enjoying every minute. Just wish
  4. Hello everyone! I would like to start by thanking Drone Pilot Ground School and Alan Perlman for helping me score a 92% on the Part 107 exam in under two days! I am currently awaiting my temporary and checking out various uav forums so it was only natural that I would end up here. I don't have a drone at the moment but I am doing research and exploring all my new possibilies in the world of commercial flying. See you on the forums!
  5. Hello community. My name is Jose however, everyone calls me Pepe. I recently purchased an HS100 quadracopter. I’m an aircraft mechanic by trade but I have been working in the wind turbine industry the past three years. I’m considering starting my own small drone company hoping that I can get into the inspection side of the industry. I graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautics University in May. Bachelors in Aeronautics. Look forward to learning and sharing with you all.

  7. Hey everyone, my name is Cody. I live in the Chicago area. My drone is a mavic pro. My drone-goals are two pronged. I'm looking for a place to collaborate and learn from as I create a successful aerial imaging solutions company. The other prong is to share and get feedback on the cool shots I capture. My background and passion are in photography, and through photography I've found a love to fly drones. I'll attach a shot from my trip to the Ozarks! Here's my website Can anyone point me in the best direction to learn about experiences with Thumbtack and/or DroneBase missions?
