About Me

Found 4 results

  1. September 7-9, 2016 are the dates. Location is Las Vegas, NV. Only the 2nd year for this event but it is jammed with massive topics, leaders, and exhibitors. If you are going to be there, make a note below and give your contact info if you want to be found. I'll be there all day & night Wednesday and first half of Thursday. My goal is to meet as many people as possible and learn as much as possible about drone services as B2B, including establishing a dedicated drone capability in-house. I'm now based in Sacramento, California and actively working to create awareness and demand for drone services there. If you want to connect with me my cell is 210-753-0843 and Twitter is @BrettRocketSci. Alan, hope to meet you in person finally! Here's the event website: Very affordable price if you just get the exhibit hall pass!
  2. New to drones but have been performing Commercial Real Estate photography for over a decade in Nevada, Arizona, California, Washington and Alaska. Recently purchased a Phantom 3 Pro, and have been getting my 'feet wet' so to speak. Never had any type of aviation certification from the Feds, though back in the day, as an enlisted man, I had my Air Crew wings in the Navy. Also, never piloted a craft until now, but sure jumped/rappelled out of more than enough perfectly good craft to know what not to do, and we all spent our time playing the Flight Sims when they first came out. I want to add aerial photography of property to my arsenal. Would love to do bazillon $$$$ homes and make bank, but we know how small those odds are. My goal for the next 6 months, to prepare for the FAA test to get my commercial UAV license. In the interim would like to know as much about these craft as I can, and thought this might be an excellent resource. Who knows, maybe the training aspect will become a more viable, and less worrysome alternative, only time will tell.
  3. HeY!!! I came accross a new video on Quadcopers with FPV and this nice Gentleman Stated that a New Law ,FPV Pilots can no Longer use Full Screen Glasses when flying, You now can only have one screen covering one eye,or use full screen goggles and a Copilot to maintain Line of Sight on the quadcopter at all times. >> Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Blade Orientation

I was Scanning over a few articles and I was woundering about the CW/CCW Orientation of the Props on my WL Toys V959 quad , I notices that the angle of the blades. the upwards edge of the blades face out not turning in toward the front of the Chopper and Duhn! Duhn!! Duuuuhhhhnn !! IS this Why all of my props are wrong, and could this be why my Flying practice has been so Diffucult ? In reverse you might say!! WOWW!! How Embarressing! somebody please straighten me OWT! Please !
