  1. Hello there! I have been taking the UAV Coach course for several months now, just finished the core material and have been looking at the drone workspace. I was wondering about Drone Base, it sounds like a cool company to do freelance like work to start out. Unfortunately, as I do not yet have my Part 107 cert just yet; Drone Base has not answered my request for info of where most of their clients' work is located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Would anyone be able to shed some light on this? I would be most grateful! Happy Flying!
  2. HI; just now joined community. prompted to learn to pilot because of the breath-taking images viewed on youtube channels. This should enhance my photo-work with new perspectives hopefully. always great to see what is advancing in the industry and how people are using drones to introduce more creativity in imaging.
  3. Hello, I have started a business and am getting a drone soon. I will be using the drone 50% of the time for personal hobby use and 50% of the time as a business tool. Should I get drone insurance? If so, what would be the best route to take for that? My other question is that I don't have a ton of money to spend, but don't want to get a crappy drone. I have a good friend who has multiple 3dr solo drones that he doesn't fly and is going to sell me one at a very good price. Would you recommend the 3dr solo as a starter drone? If so, why? If not, why? If not, what would you recommend? If I could afford it I would LOVE to get a Mavic Pro. Thanks for the input!
  4. I'm a photographer with 20 years of experience and recently started flying drones to expand my business. I've passed my Part 107 and have received my temporary certificate. I purchased a Mavic Pro to use as my first UAV platform.
  5. I am a photographer, and have had some cheap drones, but looking to get into more in depth photography and this fascinating field with a 3DR. Peace, Mickey
  6. Hello all! I am (Donnie) a new kid on the block, so to speak, to the drone world. I got into it really by accident, but that’s a good thing. I am an avid amateur photographer and have been for years. However, listening to some co-workers on how the “drone” industry is taking down their passion for flying personal private planes, I got curious about them. Having purchased my first one, I took it out for a trial flight and a world of possibilities open up in my head. So here I am, having completed the boot-camp and perusing a pilot certificate. Who knows where I will go from here! Working on my "manual flying" skills...............not very good at this time and it depends on what I am (trying) flying at the time!
