  1. I operate a 3D mapping company that conducts surveys and designs for solar projects. I'm looking for drone pilots with electrical experience, who are interested in conducting site surveys. Among several tasks, you must be comfortable removing the cover of an electrical box. We are looking to work with pilots around the United States and have an immediate need in New York State, specifically near Utica and Corning/Elmira. If you're interested, please email me at In your email, please include your resume and/or why you are qualified for the project.
  2. Hi! UAV Community, I'm John T from Long Island NY. Newly interested in drones. I have my part 107 license, also private SEL and Helicopter pilots license as well as A&P mechanic. I am an AIR Force veteran. Mostly worked on Helicopters during the Viet Nam era and stayed in the aviation industry most of my life. I'm retired now, but not really, can't sit still. I am interested in doing real estate and job site surveys or other interesting drone work. Thanks, John Tucci
  3. Have my first (beginner) drone and a flight simulator on my iPhone. Think I will eventually want to move from hobby to business arena as my strength allows. I’ve a condition that will not allow me to work full time anymore. But I can see myself offering freelance for real estate or surveying or inspection, etc. on a part time basis.
  4. Hi everyone, this is Sparkles and I'm based in NYC. I have a DJI Mavic Air and I'm very new to all of this, so I'm very excited to learn more from everyone here, and I'd love to get together to for group flying sessions if you guys do that!
  5. My name is Mark from NJ. I am a graphic artist with a 26 year background in the commercial printing industry. I am interested in learning as much as I can about the UAS industry with a focus on purchasing equipment, becoming certified and starting a new career. I have a lot of questions and would hope to get good advice from this forum. Thanks and I look forward to your comments. - MV
  6. Hello from New York! My name is AJ, I started Flightlutions back in 2009 flying aerial camera ships shooting aerial video and photography. Then the FAA instituted their sUAS restrictions and the rest was history. I am just now getting back in the industry and dusting off the aviators as a Part 107 certified remote pilots in the New York City area.
  7. New to drones. Just had to quit working to address some medical issues I have let go too long. Have had an interest in drones for some time but being an over the road truck driver didn't leave much time to get into it. Seems I've done nothing but drones since Jan 9th. I took the ground school course and passed my 107 with 85% on the first try. That is a real testament to the program that I was able to do it on the first try. I am now the proud owner of a P3, P4P+, and an inspire 2. I am very interested in thermal imaging and plan to take it as far as I am able to. I also plan to keep studying everything I gained from the ground school course. It was nice that I learned enough to pass the 107, but like Alan has said I really want to know and understand it. Right now I am trying to get all the info I can on the Flir Boson 64. I would like to get one but I haven't found a place to buy yet. I'll be hanging around the inspection forum.
  8. Hello, My name is Rick. I have been flying Discovery HD Upgrade now for 3 months. I am pretty comfortable with flying manual mode. I want to start getting into making money with a drone business. I was going to invest in a Inspire 2 X5, FP4 as backup and an Osmo + for the ground stuff. Of course I am going to get my 107 and go through all the appropriate training. I am still trying to figure out my niche. I want to start earning and honing my skills at the same time. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thank you and look forward to making new friends in a great industry Rick
