About Me

  1. Hi, I spoke to Al earlier today about the new flight planning product that I am making available and he asked me to create a post on the forum so I hope that I will not upset anyone by talking about FLIGHT SURVEY. As a trained drone pilot I learnt the importance of forward planning to maximize safe, responsible operation and it is lot more involved than just knowing where the nearest controlled airspace is. Over the last eighteen months I have designed and produced a system that eases the task of producing a flight plan and it will fit the tightest of budgets and you can learn more about it at There's also a special offer on at the moment but I don't want to push my luck too far so you'll have to look at the website to find out more. FLIGHT SURVEY is designed to fill in the gaps that many other products seem to avoid and the one of its by-products is a professionally formatted PDF flight plan containing your mark up, risk assessment, notes and branding. Once you have defined the mission area - either by drawing or by importing KML - you can then export KML tailored for other apps such as Pix4Dcapture and Drone Deploy or view your planned operation in 3D in Google Earth. You can even export a copy to your satnav app to determine a route and locate the positions for deployment. I'd like to thank Al for giving me the opportunity to talk about this and I hope that you will take a few minutes to look at the website to see what else FLIGHT SURVEY can do and see how little it does it for. All the best, Paddy
