  1. Link Here: https://forum.dji.com/thread-169964-1-1.html Hi all, I have listed some TIPS when capturing drone footage during the Fall season. The guide talks about PL filters, sensors, trees, birds, and LUTS in the link above. Hopefully some of you might find it useful. THanks for giving it a look!
  2. Hey, just my introduction! I am a photographer of 15+ years and started flying UAVs about 1 year ago. I love to create stunning images with my Phantom 4 and also shooting a lot of video. I am 107 Certified and looking for ways to make some money in this business. So this is me and here is one of my favorite photos I have taken so far. Iceland If anyone is in my area let me know so we can hook up and go fly or just talk business My number is 214-516-8430
  3. Dear UAV people, I read an introduction is much appreciated so here I go..I'll try to keep it short;-) I'm considereing buying an Phantom 4 in a few weeks.. I am someone that tries to get back in his old skill- and toolset and I am currently looking for work. I graduated as a Multimedia designer a long time ago.. (but in this galaxy). I worked as a 3D modeler on computer games, virtual reality- and video presentations and once in a while I still work on filmfestival shorts as a volunteer doing FX, titles, illustrations..animations. At some point it was necesary to adapt to the situation and I got into software testing and skilled support. But because the IT sector, where I worked in the last couple of years, makes me die from the inside out I am currently persuing the wish to make coorporate video productions with VR and 360 initiatives on the side. I am someone with ideas and I need to place my creativity somewhere. There are some plans on the drawing board to create a decent portfolio where I can show-off beautifull shot edits and 360 applications to get my first paying customer The first few will have te be done for free :-S. I am well aware of the potential of the chosen equipment and the potential and prices of the more professional stuff.. this is something for later or rent. I need to start very modest with a DSLR, a Phantom4 and a Gear 360. I have some good network connections around me in the field (I will definately need a sound guy) so I hope these ingredients and my 300% motivation can make this all work. The alternative is save money but certain death..(No offence, I'm just not an IT man). Are there any like minded souls around here..maybe with some experience on the choices that are up ahead? And considering a small start budget I wonder if my assumption about the P4's possabilities to deliver semi pro footage is correct? Thnx and Regards, Vincent
  4. Hello all, Greetings from the Mid Atlantic, glad to be here. Just a quick introduction for everyone; I grew up around Army aviation and when I was born my crib overlooked the flight line at Schofield and I have been hooked on aviation ever since. Ive always had a passion for flight. When I was a late teen I completed my private pilot ground school but was never able to fund my flight hours. That is something I hope to finish. Regardless, I've been building & flying line of site UAS vehicles for about 5 years now, mostly fixed wing, I have been an amateur photographer for a long time, mostly nature, animals, landscapes. Outdoors stuff with some architecture shots. I love being out in the wilds and shooting with my Camera, a Canon 30D. In my early 20's I spent 4 to 5 years land surveying, I love maps and navigation, and as for the recent past I've been an IT/network geek. So my pssion for flight, and my job history and interests have lead me to the up and coming UAS opportunities. So much to love here. Photographer, mapping, cinema, law enforcement maybe? Good times.

    Vibration dampeners

I have just finished one of my vibration dampeners. It is very effective and not exactly easy to build. It is based on the Secraft design but with several differences. It can support 2 kg and it weighs 36 grams. I used 1.2 mm thick polycarbonate sheet, 1.2 mm thick 6061 T6 aluminium alloy sheet, 16 x 10 x 3 silicone O rings (55 duro) and PVC studs which I fabricated using the lathe. I am going to use two of these to completely isolate from vibrations the platform of my next V6 hexacopter, They are are still present, even if in minor quantity, after all the motors and propellers have been carefully balanced. In this manner the gimbal / video camera unit will be double isolated and the FC will not resent from vibrations. Cheers from Bruno
