  1. I received this as a gift, but I am not going to be using it. This is a Yaesu FTA-550L (the "L" model comes with a Li-Ion rechargeable battery), with 200 memory channels, NOAA weather, and nav. Excellent condition with all original packaging and box. Asking $220 plus $20 USPS priority mail, US only. Interested and honest buyers, and cashiers check only please. I am Part 107 certificate holder 4143472. Jeff McKune 909 Hampton Ct. Rolla, MO 65401
  2. My interest in drones is two fold: real estate inspections for my day job as a public adjuster, where it s helpful to have a picture of wind/rain/fire damage to a roof or multi story building, and for my interest in amateur radio, where drones are helpful in putting antenna wires up in trees in remote locations, especially for low power (QRP) transmissions. This is quite useful for both camping and also for emergency operations, especially when I volunteer for radio support of the Red Cross. Radio Call Sign: K9MBA, Amateur Extra Class.

First, I passed my Section 107 and am awaiting my temp certification. Once I have that I have several places to fly for customers and I want to make sure I do things properly. IF i find myself in a position where i need to contact a tower for authorization to fly, how do I go about doing that? Please don't hammer me if this is a overly discussed procedure but Im simply wanting to make sure I do things the right way. Jake
  4. OK, I'm a complete Newbie, still struggling to control a Hubsan X4 H107L, but looking to upgrade to a bigger FPV quad. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Wi-fi and the alternatives? I hope it doesn't mean that you have to be in a Wi-fi area, as the flights would normally be out in the wilds ... and using a phone to receive the FPV doesn't mean you have to have a phone signal, does it? Like I said, a complete newbie! Anyone had experience with the M-tec Skydrone? Can't afford a Phantom
