  1. Hi folks, I finished designing a quadcopter drone in a CAD software with a 3 axis gimbal assembled at the bottom, and I have to admit that i am excited to see this flying. I know the costs of 3D printing and electronics would be pretty high, so before moving on to its construction, I was wondering if any of you drone gigs and enthusiast have any thoughts on my drone that you would like to share. Feel free to comment below if you think there are areas in the design that are vulnerable to failure. https://a360.co/3cNar3D Cheers,
  2. Hi all,I'm planning to do some offshore flying from the Big Island in 2020 and I'm looking for some local knowledge so I can better plan my trip.1. Are there times of the year that I should avoid flying because of weather/wind? 2. I've read some threads about taking off/landing from boats, what is the feasibility of doing this off of the Big Island (I've got a Mavic 2 Pro)?3. Any other useful tips for flying around the Big Island? I know the national parks and such are off limits, but I'm curious as to the difficulty of gaining approval to fly in airport airspace. Thanks for the help!
  3. Link Here: https://forum.dji.com/thread-169964-1-1.html Hi all, I have listed some TIPS when capturing drone footage during the Fall season. The guide talks about PL filters, sensors, trees, birds, and LUTS in the link above. Hopefully some of you might find it useful. THanks for giving it a look!
  4. Hello to anyone who opens posts by new members! I'm excited to get involved in this online community and read and learn as much as I can! There seems to be an endless fountain of information to learn on this technology and FAA regulations, and quite frankly its a bit overwhelming. I'm hoping this forum helps me collect information to organize the most relevant aspects of the industry. I plan on using my DJI Mavic Air and Parrot Bebop 2 for Real Estate, and in the future hopefully creating media content for marketing other company's products and services. Before I drone on and lose any of you I
  5. Hello fellow dronists! I made a short guide full of tips when travelling with your drone. I organized the tips into stages such as preparation, pre-flight and flight just make content a bit more digestable. Feel free to give your own advice to help those who are looking to travel in the future. Any suggestions would be good too! As a disclaimer, this is my entry to the Epic Aerial Guides contest. I hope you enjoy it!LINK HERE
  6. Hello fellow flyers! I just finished a light-hearted guide when it comes to travelling with your drone. I split the tips into phases such as preparation, pre-flight and flight just to organize the content a bit better. Feel free to input your own advice so those who are looking to travel may be more equipped with the potential challenges. Any feedback would be good too! As a disclaimer, this is my entry to the Epic Aerial Guides contest. I hope you like it!LINK HERE
  7. I am about to purchase the Phantom 4 Pro for a pilot for a tv show. I've never shot with a drone before and was wondering if there might be any advice, tips, and or warnings before I make this purchase. I also have a film that I plan on using a few drone shots for this spring. Thanks again for your thoughts. - Brian 4 Bees Media, LLC
  8. Hey drone flyers! I tried out my very first wedding video plus it's fully shot by drone. I did it for free as my friend asked me to, but because of that I couldn't really give directions to people as to what I wanted them to do or where to go. I listed the things that I learned and hopefully you'd find them useful! Thanks for watching and congratulations to the couple! Matthew and Alina | Wedding Video Things I Learned:1. Drones can work handheld but may be jittery at times and even over-compensate with it's stabilizer when swinging the drone left to right.2. I prefer controlling wit
