Any other FPVers out there?

Recommended Posts

I am with the KCFPV group in Kansas City.  We have over 100 members and still growing - combined with Topeka and Wichita, KS groups it's even larger.  We host races in and around Kansas, Missouri and Iowa on a bi-weekly basis - we're made up of advanced racers who have upwards of 10~15 quads to beginners just starting out with their first.  The group is very friendly and helpful - and we welcome spectators as well as folks interested in getting into the sport.

All of our races are listed on the MultiGP site - where you can register and join in races, track your results, etc.  I recommend if you're interested in racing, setup a profile on MultiGP and look for local chapters registered.

Otherwise, if you fly FPV for fun - which is mostly what I do, it's still great to be involved in your local club as configuring controllers and setting up quads to do stunts, etc. can be a harrowing experience.  This isn't like flying a Phantom...

I ended up getting 2 Blade inductrix drones. I read someplace that they needed to cool down after one battery and I didn't want to wait that long before flying again. It is an easy and inexpensive way to get a taste of FPV.

Lots of fun. I fly them at home. Occasionally I'll fly them while my wife makes dinner - a bit distracting but I find it is better than using air gates.
