3DR Pixhawk Mini pre-order

Recommended Posts

It looks like the "Pixhawk Mini" is finally available on the 3DR website but it just looks like the HobbyKing Pixfalcon at a higher price. I'll do some more research and post my findings in this thread.

Here is what I found so far, 3DR "collaborated" with HobbyKing on this FC but it uses upgraded sensors and there maybe some other differences compared with the HK Pixfalcon. 3DR will published more details on their website this coming Wednesday (Oct, 26). Since 3DR have got out of making hardware they must be having HK or one of their suppliers build it so its not sure if this will match the quality of the original 3DR Pixhawk. For $200 it does include a power module, a M8N GPS and cables. Here are the specs

I know I  will be using the full size pixhawk for Big Bird. But for Baby Bird that might work better.

The size of the compartment on Baby Bird is really limited and the standard size pixhawk doesn't  really fit.

An APM would or something similar.

Will be doing some flying this weekend. Baby Bird, Straocam, and 3DR Solo.
