Hello,

I want to become a drone pilot and work as such for a career. Where do I start and should I wait til the FAA releases (hopefully releases) their protocols this June?

Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,

Kevin Kealey kmkealey01@gmail.com

Where do I start

What's your background, Kevin? Have you flown an sUAS before? If not, that's where I'd start. Log hours and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Become intimately familiar with your aircraft, both the hardware and software and how everything works together. You need to become a subject matter expert in your equipment.

I agree. Keep an eye on the business. What kind of flying do you want to do? We have a drone worth $120.000 with a small FLIR mounted. This one is fixed winged... On the other hand I made a few bucks with a Cheerson CX-20 and a SONY camera on it. Buy a cheap drone that is rugged and can take some punishment. Practice is the key to everything.
