Too soon for Matrice 200 v2 ?

Recommended Posts

DJI has filed for and gained approval from the FCC for New M200 v2, M210 v2 & M210RTK v2  UAV's. Launched in February of 2017 and mainly delivered in September of 2017, is it too soon for a version two of these units?

Many expected upgrades to be available to their existing units and it does seem odd with TB55 battery issues that a version two would suddenly be announced.

SD card placement, Battery issue abatement and real RTK would be optimal areas to start with. But why has there been no advancements of there original Flagship UAV's ?

It's not going to be a new bird.  Simply the same model with Ocusync 2 instead of Lightbridge 2.whatever.  Just like the P4P V2  Also the Cendence upgrade to Ocusync 2.

As per standard DJI, no backward compatibility.

Turns out there are a few more features.

  • anti-collision beacons have been added to the top and bottom of the drone
  • DJI’s AirSense system alerts pilots of approaching air traffic that might pose a collision threat
  • better flight performance
  • improved data accuracy
  • Discreet Mode: all lights on the UAV can be completely turned off in the DJI Pilot app. This allows for stealth mode for when situations call for unobtrusive drone operations.

Here's one link to find out more about the Matrice 200 V2 series.
