New member, new to drones

Recommended Posts

Just thought I would introduce myself. I am Roy, a professional photographer from California. I have a portrait and wedding studio in Visalia in the central valley and have wanted to add aerial photography with drones to my offerings for some time,  both to the wedding photography market and my commercial photography to business and government in the area. Years ago I did some aerial photos from airplanes. Renting a plane and pilot and having them take me up for the shots.  But now with drones, this opens up a whole new avenue.

My wonderful wife got me an Upair One for Christmas and what I have found is it will take some time to get really proficient at flying it. I have had a couple of crashes because I got a little too cocky and have gone back to the basics, just flying back and forth, forward and backward, turning around and the simple things but getting it so I am oriented to where it's flying so that I don't have to think about it. I discovered this site today and decided to post because this seems like it's active, as some have very little activity.
