A new way to visualise thermal drone data. Would you use it?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I ran into the same issues over and over again when performing thermal inspections: the data we gathered was almost impossible to show in a convenient way.

We've hacked our way to a product where pictures are automatically georeferenced, top-to-bottom gradients are filtered out, added calibration with calibration elements on the site and a rudimentary form of stitching is done to display the images on a map. This enabled us to show our clients exactly where the issues where, georeferenced and in an online viewer (Google Maps kind of setting).

Of course, for interpretation the rough images might be used in a FlirTools or similar software, but this is not always ideal for reporting back to your client.

Are you also sometimes wondering how to show the result of your inspections to your client, and find yourself making elaborate but static reports on your findings?

Would the product we hacked together be of any value to you? What exact problem does it solve best for you? Anything else you're having issues with, that we might integrate?

Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing whether this might be something of help to the community.
