Where to Fly a Drone in Dallas

Recommended Posts

It's often challenging to find a legal, safe, and visually interesting location to fly your drone, especially in a densely populated area with one or more airports.

After a round of comprehensive research, our team compiled a list of where to fly a drone in Dallas. We also have this list of drone laws in Texas that might be helpful.

Where do you like to fly your drone in Dallas? We welcome your comments/experiences below.

Hi @jvinton206

Thank you for sharing your experiences at these locations and welcome to the UAV Coach Community Forum! The Mavic Pro 2 is a great drone for photography, I am sure that you will capture some great footage with it. If you have any drone photos that you would like to share, feel free to post them in our  'Aerial Photography' thread.

Best,

 - Chase

Mallard Cove Park , one block east of the Great Southwest Flying Field, is a Fort Worth Park, with much better scenery than the AMA flying field, and No membership fees.

Hi @Jay McKibben

Thanks for sharing and welcome to the UAV Coach Community Forum! The FPV drones are awesome to watch and the skill of the pilots. I have been thinking about getting the new DJI FPV drone, was curious if you had any thoughts on it?

I have heard they are very nice but maybe on the delicate side a little? I own the DJI V1 goggles and have built several vista rigs and definitely enjoy the DJI FPV experience. The new DJI FPV drone will have it's use for sure but might not want to race it in our metal gates we use, lol.
