I finally fulfilled a promise to myself and purchased a Phantom 3. I decided, as a newbie, I should still go with the lower end model as I further hone my flight skills. After the maiden voyage, I can say it was well worth it. Nonetheless, I am glad I began my quad pilot training on a cheap, difficult-to-fly quad (Ares Ethos HD). It truly made me appreciate the ease and sophistication of the Phantom.

To celebrate, I took an aerial selfie. Nothing to boast about, but it sure was fun.
