Pettibone Creek Powerhouse

Recommended Posts

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and the chance to get out and explore with your drone. I took some time to fly my drone and decided to share one of my favorite photographs from the weekend. Tucked away in a small park in Milford, Michigan is the Pettibone Creek Powerhouse. It was desiged by renowned architect Albert Kahn and was built by Henry Ford in 1939. The building was one of many powerhouse's that Henry Ford built around the Huron River to power his factories. The Petitione Creek Powerhouse is the only remaining structure from this experiment. The water from Lower Mill Pond still rushes under the building today and serves as a reminder of the innovation that propelled the automotive industry forward.

Feel free to share any of your favorite photographs in the Aerial Photography thread.
