Airbus Announces Plans to 3D Print Drones and Self-Driving Cars

Airbus recently announced plans to partner with San Francisco-based 3D-printing startup Local Motors Industries (LMI) to make drones and self-driving cars using 3D printers.

The new venture is called Neorizon, and its first project will be to run a “microfactory” building new transportation products like drones and self-driving cars—also called “mobility solutions”—to test the use of 3D printing for creating vehicles.
