I've enjoyed scrolling through several topics in the community already and I'm very much looking forward to the weeks and months ahead.

I'm in the Nashville, TN area and have only been R/C piloting for a couple of years with planes and now quadcopter drones, all recreationally. I'm now starting a business and working hard to develop my quadcopter drone skills. August can't get here quickly enough so I can get certified.

Glad to be a part of this community.

Best Regards.

Hey @FlyByDroning, I'm actually moving (back) to Nashville in early February and moving UAV Coach HQ in the process :) Will be living in Bellevue. Look forward to getting into the Nashville sUAS scene.

What do you fly? What are your goals?

That's great Alan. I'm in Franklin so I'm not too far from where you'll be.

I have been flying nano's for the past 8 months or so. I have a Hubson X4 that I've been flying to help me prepare for my Phantom 3 4k that I just bought. I am pretty well connected to the real estate business in this area and the goal is to capitalize on those connections with some commercial videography. SkyBot Imaging will be the name and I literally started to put it all together within the past 2 weeks and I'm hoping to launch it in September once I complete this new certification in August. It will be part time at first and then we'll just see where it goes. The piloting will be somewhat challenging at first, but I think my biggest challenge will be the photography and videography side, since I really have no experience in that area. So, I'm filling my brain with everything I can in my spare time and putting in as many hours as possible flying.

I love what you are building with uavcoach.com. I'm anxiously waiting to take the Drone Pilot Ground School that you're working on.

I hope to learn more about the Nashville sUAS scene in the coming weeks/months as well. I'm sure there are RC clubs and what not, but I haven't ventured out yet to see what all is available.

We definitely need to stay in touch. Hopefully I'll have some updates for you in the coming weeks on how things are progressing.

Please keep me (and everyone else in the forum) posted with how things are going.

Hopefully we'll meet up in person one day. While I've tested a bunch of bigger equipment, I fly mostly nanos in and around my apartment day-to-day. Looking forward to buying a bigger bird to own outright when I get back to Nashville. Spend most of my time behind the computer these days anyway...hoping to get out and do more flying!

@Alan Perlman are you going to be hiring?? I'm up in Clarksville along with my farm and Flying Monkey Aerial Photography. Retiring from the Army next Spring.

Depends. A lot could change with the business in the next 6 months! I definitely want to do some group flying / teaching / event planning in-person down in Nashville. Look forward to our paths crossing.
