GHATAK is a fixed-wing tactical loitering & attack UAV solution engineered for anti-terror and asymmetric warfare conditions. It is expendable for single-use and performs high-precision surveillance and attack missions (autonomous or manual modes) to neutralize threats within a tactical range of 3 Nautical Miles.
This Tactical UAV is developed by the students of STES' Smt.Kashibai Navale college of Engineering, Pune

For almost a decade, developed nations have been conducting drone campaigns and it has been driven by short-term objectives: the degradation of militant groups through the use of targeted killings on a tactical scale. The targeted strikes occur in both battlefield settings and countries where these nations do not have troops deployed, and these strikes are possible due to the lethal precision of armed drones. With their unprecedented surveillance capabilities and the ability to stalk a target for hours, tactical UAVs have become the hallmark innovation in military superpowers. UAVs have proven themselves to be the asymmetric tactical response to the asymmetric threat of militant networks, insurgencies, and other non-conventional targets.
